Are you Graph Search ready? A few months ago, Facebook started testing a new search function called “Graph Search,” which is designed to help connect users to people with similar interest.
Want to go hiking this weekend, but not sure who to invite? Search it. With Graph Search, a simple search for “my friends who like hiking” will bring up all of your friends who like to hike. Not only is this search great for finding activity partners, it’s also a great way to discover cool photos and new restaurants.
Graph Search is tailored to each user. When your search is entered, the results will be based primarily on what your friends have posted or shared with you. This means that even if your best friend enters the same search, they will get different results.
Users of the US English version of Facebook will start seeing this change happen over the next week or so. It is for desktop only, but a mobile version is currently in the works.
